Sony has confirmed that it is shutting down its Xperia Beta program that has been launched earlier this year to beta test their official Marshmallow software. Which means there'll be no a lot more beta firmware releases in the foreseeable future.
The Japanese firm has further confirmed that most Xperia Z2/Z3 units begins receiving a new commercial firmware release inside the coming weeks, with those over a beta build being up to date automatically.
The move shouldn't really come being a surprise given that Sony acquired said in April the Xperia Beta program can continue until "at least the middle of" 2016.
